ATTENTION COMPETITORS!
Golf carts may be rented through Carolina Carriage @ 910-295-0574. Ask to
speak with Keith. You must reserve the carts before 1:00 pm on THURSDAY
as they will be delivered late Thursday afternoon. The price is
$40.00-$55.00 per day (depending on type of cart) plus delivery charges
and tax. Delivery charges may vary according to the number of carts
ordered. Advance payment must be made directly to
Carolina Carriage by credit card, not through the show office. The Show is
NOT responsible for golf cart rentals, it just acts as a contact.
In accordance with USEF rules, minors will not be permitted to operate any motorized
vehicle on the show grounds. This includes golf carts and motorized
scooters. This rule will be strictly enforced!
The N.C. Dept. of Agriculture requires that a copy of a current
NEGATIVE COGGINS test be available to the State Veterinarian’s office
for each horse entering the facility. The show will not assign a number to
any horse without a photocopy of its current Coggins test. In addition,
each exhibitor MUST post a copy of the Coggins on the horse’s stall door.
Any equine without a negative Coggins test will immediately be quarantined
back to its point of origin. Therefore, ALL entries MUST be accompanied
by a photocopy of a negative Coggins test. NO horses (including
non-competing horses) will be permitted on the grounds unless they
have registered prior to arrival with the secretary and submitted a
current negative Coggins test.
Plan to attend the FREE Competitor's Party on Saturday afternoon at 5:00
pm. This party is graciously sponsored by Jody
Morse (Morse and Doyle Dentistry, Kernsville, NC) and Maryanna Haymon (Marydell Farm,
Columbus, NC).
Stall
assignments will be posted on the website by Wednesday evening and on the
Show Grounds by 5 PM on Thursday, August 28. Stall bedding (2 bags of
shavings per stall) will not be distributed until the day listed for arrival
on the entry form. YOU MUST PRE-ORDER EXTRA BEDDING PRIOR TO ARRIVAL!!
The price of extra bedding is: $8.00 per bag of
shavings.
The braider for both the Labor of Love and Breed Shows is
Jean Devenny. Many of you know that she is always in high demand as a
braider. Contact her to sign up in advance at 336-293-3571.
You may phone the show office at the Hunt Horse Complex starting on
Friday, August 29 at 919-828-9478.
Please DO NOT change your stall
assignments without checking with the Show Secretary.
Please be reminded that checks issued for
overpayment of fees must be cashed within 30 days of the last day of the
show.
A reminder for Dog Owners... The Hunt Horse Complex does NOT allow
dogs in any part of the Coliseum at ANY time.
Please plan accordingly for your dog’s safety. You will be fined if your
dog is loose anywhere on the fairgrounds. In addition, you should be aware
of a new USEF rule prohibiting loose dogs at horse shows: USEF GR301.6.
Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a
leash or otherwise contained. Individuals must
not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners failing to comply with
this rule may be subject to penalty under USEF Rules Chapters 6 and 7, as
well as issuance of warning cards.
